I adore the christmas holiday season! I love the lights, the togetherness, the food and the DECORATING!
I was fortunate enough to inherit my Grandma Betty's vintage silver tree and decorations AND LIGHTS! Sadly the lights are so old they have burned out but still look very pretty in their gorgeous vintage box!
My daughter Apple has always wanted a tree in her room so this year I made her wish come true, it is still lacking an angel or star and the lights still need to be strung but it sure looks pretty! I cannot wait to put out the rest of the holiday items!
Like a dandelion that has gone to seed, I am all over the place! Here you will find vintage collections, cooking ideas, crafts, fashion and bit's on raising my four little munchkins!

From repulsive to super cute!
I needed more space for linens in my house. My house is a good size but my daughter uses the original "linen room" as her bedroom. I found a cabinet on usedvictoria for $5, you can not find a better deal than that unless it is free! It was very ugly, I simply added a few coats of lovely green paint and then sandpapered the edges to make it look old and loved, or as designers say " distressed". I love it!

Make your laundry room pretty!
Our laundry room was dismal, beige, blah. I am not that great at keeping up with the folding etc. as it is and an ugly room takes away any motivation I might have for being productive. Color is very important to me so I painted the walls a nice vintage blue /green, hung a simple lace curtain and placed some treasures on the window sill. I still don't fold the laundry very often but it definitely get's washed and dried in that pretty room!
Patchwork wall!
My daughter Apple ( I named her that three years before Gwyneth used it) wanted something cool going on in one of her bedrooms ( she has two VERY small rooms side by side) she went up island to spend time with her cousins one weekend, while she was gone I made a " Patchwork" wall with scrapbook paper. I only did one wall, it is a very small room and anything more would have " closed it in". Apple was very pleased when she saw it and I was very pleased with the price of the project ($5 for materials) and two hours of work!
A Gift for Mod & Sal
It was recently two good friends birthdays so I made them each a neck shawl to suit their fashion and warmth needs. Here is a photo of the one I made for Mod but I forgot to take a photo of Sal's, it was moss green with large black buttons.

HOORAY FOR CROCHET!
I really love to crochet but do not really have as much time as I used to. I love to give crocheted gifts for Christmas so any spare moment I have you will find me making something out of yarn, here is a neck shawl I made for my daughter, complete with a vintage Bill Blass button!
