On a trip in the best seaside thrift store town with my sister and our daughters I stumbled upon this lovely crewel work framed picture. The frame was a wood that made me feel sad, it needed some paint! I took the orange color from the rooftops, it makes it pop! I already had paint out for the twins kitchen I was making for their birthday. It literally took me five minutes to brighten this beauty up!

Three of my four children are boys. I have always wondered what I would do with sons because I am not into sports or anything typically boyish, neither is my husband. I decided I would just raise them as "people". They play with cars but they also play with dolls. I am happy they have a good balance of interests. My husband is a very gentle man and I think they are taking after him. When he comes home from work and see's little Rolla dressed up like a princess he tells him he looks beautiful, how wonderful is that! I snapped some lovely moments of the boy's playing Raggedy Ann & Andy with their Papa.

It was a Wonderful Christmas!
Christmas was just wonderful this year! My sister and her family, my Mum and Stepdad came for Christmas Eve and we had a lovely time, our tree looked so special in it's new location by the window. Conor and I were up so late wrapping gifts, you would think after all these year we would not procrastinate, but it seems we have a tradition of leaving it to the last minute, it is nice to have that quiet time together though........
The children were thrilled with their gifts and it was so nice to all be together!

It's beginning to look a lot like..............
I adore the christmas holiday season! I love the lights, the togetherness, the food and the DECORATING!
I was fortunate enough to inherit my Grandma Betty's vintage silver tree and decorations AND LIGHTS! Sadly the lights are so old they have burned out but still look very pretty in their gorgeous vintage box!
My daughter Apple has always wanted a tree in her room so this year I made her wish come true, it is still lacking an angel or star and the lights still need to be strung but it sure looks pretty! I cannot wait to put out the rest of the holiday items!

From repulsive to super cute!
I needed more space for linens in my house. My house is a good size but my daughter uses the original "linen room" as her bedroom. I found a cabinet on usedvictoria for $5, you can not find a better deal than that unless it is free! It was very ugly, I simply added a few coats of lovely green paint and then sandpapered the edges to make it look old and loved, or as designers say " distressed". I love it!
